Wilderness Motorhome's B-Corp Journey
Forever Forests Supports Wilderness Motorhomes’ B Corp Journey Through Native Forest Carbon Offsets
Forever Forests is proud to support Wilderness Motorhomes in achieving B Corp certification, with 152 tonnes of carbon emissions offset through the Flax Hills Forever Forests Project — a retired farm that has naturally reverted to native forest.
As part of Wilderness Motorhomes’ commitment to environmental and social responsibility, the company partnered with Forever Forests to offset a portion of its carbon footprint through high-quality, New Zealand–based native regeneration. The 152 tonnes of carbon offset represent a tangible investment in long-term climate action, biodiversity restoration, and sustainable land use.
The Flax Hills Forever Forests Project is located on former pastoral land that has been retired from farming and allowed to regenerate into permanent native forest. Over time, the site has become dominated by regenerating indigenous species, forming a permanent forest carbon sink. In addition to sequestering carbon, the project enhances soil health, improves water quality, and creates valuable habitat for native wildlife.
By investing in locally based native forest regeneration, Wilderness Motorhomes has ensured that its carbon offsets deliver measurable environmental impact within Aotearoa. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to restoring landscapes while contributing to a lower-emissions future.
B Corp certification is an internationally recognised standard that assesses a company’s social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
Forever Forests congratulates Wilderness Motorhomes on this significant milestone and looks forward to continuing to support businesses that are taking meaningful, measurable steps toward climate responsibility.
